Prime Brokers board clients who are interested in trading through them (Brokers, Margin, Credit, Settlement, etc.) and prop desk accounts including market maker's and bank feeds. Prime brokers assign daily settlement limits to other prime brokers on Spotex. These limits are monitored and modified in real time. Prime brokers have full access to their client's accounts in terms of credit assigned, cash management, risk management, trades and activity reports on behalf of their clients. Prime brokers control their client's spreads in real time (Note: the spread figures are transparent to the client). Our sophisticated back office calculates a prime broker's revenue from the spread applied to each client's trades.

STP is provided through the Spotex back-office or a prime broker may opt to use a web service to reconcile their systems with Spotex. Spotex is planning integration with a third party system such as CLS in the near future so prime brokers can leverage their existing STP infrastructure.
